NAR defines a Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) as a real estate practitioner who facilitates the buying, selling or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or as second homes in a resort, recreational, and/or vacation destination. This Certification communicates to consumers that the RSPS have specialized skills and knowledge needed to help them make informed decisions about buying and selling resort and second-home properties. 
 
The Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designee completes extensive training in foreclosure avoidance and short sales to assist homeowners unable to continue payments of their mortgages. These distressed properties are worth less than the mortgages on them and lenders are willing to sell them at market price, regardless of the mortgage amount. This avoids foreclosure and saves the lender time and money, but more importantly, assists the homeowner with their financial burdens.

e-PRO® certified from the National Association of Realtors.
